False prophets in the church - Part 2

As I said this is like spitting in the ocean but hopefully it will do some good for someone…
There is a vast difference between old and new testament prophets.

Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

We just need to look at the difference in Elijah between the two covenants.  Under the old, he was full of fire from heaven, under the new, reconciliation & restoration.  Same guy; two different covenant ministries.

So next time you want to stone a person for giving you a bad prophetic word, realize it’s not as cut and dried as we’d like it to be, and extend some grace for people to make mistakes as they learn.
